Mar Morto- Israel

A place to occupy
In January 2014, I embarked on a trip to Israel. Daughter of a Jewish mother, but raised by parents who do not believe in religion, I didnt know what awaited me.
The people who live in the country without a doubt are connected to the faith in some way, especially in Jerusalem, where the wailing wall is located. The State of Israel is the only country in the world where the majority of the population is Jewish, but Christianity and Islam also have their faithful, in addition to housing sacred temples of monotheistic religions such as Druze and Bahai.
Israel doesnt live only on religion, but also on great landscapes. Among them, the Dead Sea, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea flood my eyes with their immensity and their very different colors. In contrast to this excess of water, a large part of the state is represented by the desert, with sandy tones and a dry climate.
Their empty spaces call my attention: I have the feeling that they are waiting for them to be occupied, as they are so disputed and dreamed of. The loneliness of this no-man's-land instigates me. The fight over the territory of Israel is something I have listened to since I met, the news reports daily. And there is the empty bank, the bus stop, the entrance to infinity, a pier, a road ... Just waiting to know who will embark, who will take risks and who will fight for all of this.
