Portraits of Venezuelan immigrants in Manaus 
The search for a job is the most recurrent theme among immigrants living in makeshift tents in Manaus. Thinking about it, i took 3x4 photos and help them to create yours curriculum.

The shelters take care of a small portion of the immigrants - a large part huddles in makeshift tents and tents. About 300 Venezuelan immigrants live in this camp near the Manaus bus station (AM).
Indigenous Warao in Manaus due to the critical environmental conditions of the Orinoco delta, their ancestral territory, for almost 60 years the Warao have maintained close exchanges with the city, selling hammocks, hats and handicrafts, obtaining food and medicines in return.
By the end of 2018, Cáritas de Manaus (AM), an organization linked to the Catholic Church, served more than 3,000 Venezuelan immigrants. Since this year, however, the city has assumed responsibility for the reception. Still, some immigrants turn to the institution for help.
“Every year the water comes, and it ends up with the food. Sea water arrives every year, rises up to ten meters, and destroys everything, ”says immigrant Juan Rojas of the Orinoco delta, a traditional territory of the Warao Indians. With climate change and the political crisis in Venezuela, many Waraos have decided to move to Brazil.

“We came walking and asking for a ride. A month of walking. A month eating mangoes and oranges, ”says Chief Orlando, leader of the Warao who live in the shelter in downtown Manaus (AM), on the route between Venezuela and Brazil.
